Grim’s cousin Charlie! (Technically his………. “biological” sibling but they are too fundamentally different for him to claim Charlie for a long time and only he allows cousin because Charlie is made of one of the same kind of thing that Grim is actually 6 of… it’s complicated… also Charlie has NOT made a good first impression on grim or his siblings tbh)
So you know how Grim’s body is physically made of Human Grim? Well Charlie did not have any sweet protective men to turn into. Charlie built himself out of whatever happened to be passing by. He’s taking on a form Grim will be comfortable with in order to tell him to stop being silly and go back to their Mother, which is unusually considerate for the kind of thing they are.
(Sharp eyed readers will notice that Charlie and Grandma from “What You Eat” are the same exact kind of thing! Grandma would have liked Grim, though.)

Rejection/Submission Counter
I got my SECOND EVER writing rejection today, which is super cool except I first started trying to submit my work in like 2018 and I’m just now realizing how little I’ve actually… tried to submit anywhere when I wasn’t at least 50/50 thinking I’d get in. I’ve been way too shy about submitting my writing to places, so I’m going to stop being so precious about it and make a goal to reach a lifetime goal of 10 rejections in 2023.
As of 7/18/23:
In 2023: 1 Submission/1 Rejection
Lifetime: 5 Submissions/2 Rejections/1 Withdrawal (I couldn’t stand the wait and wanted to submit it somewhere else)/2 Acceptances
I will update this post as I submit more - I need 8 more rejections to get to the goal this year, which will earn me a little treat of some kind…
